Raised in Southern Mississippi I moved to California when I was 19. After a few years I traveled home and married a Southern Belle. My dad's family is from Peru, and we buried him in that cemetery last summer. This photo is from the old part. It's one of the most beautiful cemeteries I've seen. It sits on a hill high over the Missouri River. Legend has it that slaves who died while passengers on the Underground Railroad are buried here in unmarked graves.
